Usaravalli
Just as a chameleon changes its colours according to its surroundings, Usaravalli challenges participants to switch their opinions and arguments based on a given topic. This unique turncoat event tests their critical thinking, eloquence, presence of mind, and ability to argue both for and against a subject.
As one of our core events, Usaravalli provides participants with a platform to demonstrate their debating skills, adaptability, and ability to think on their feet. By presenting arguments from opposing perspectives, participants showcase their versatility, logical reasoning, and confidence in expressing their ideas.

Divyankura
Divyankura is the flagship annual celebration organized by Isiri, the Kannada Club of NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), Nitte, in November to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava. The event promotes Kannada language, culture, traditions, and the rich heritage of Karnataka. It also features the Manjari Series of literary and creative competitions, including Prashnamanjari, Swaramanjari, Chitramanjari, and Kavyamanjari, with winners receiving prizes during the main event.
The celebration brings Kannada culture to life through traditional processions, folk dances, music, Yakshagana, theatre, and inspiring speeches by distinguished guests. Divyankura celebrates Karnataka's cultural identity and encourages students to embrace and preserve the timeless spirit of Kannada.

Padaprabha – A Confluence of Words, A Celebration of Talent
The Padaprabha programme is organized every year with the aim of spreading the richness of the Kannada language and celebrating creativity through words. The crossword competition challenged students' intellect, the essay competition provided a platform for expressing ideas and imagination, and the extempore speech competition encouraged quick thinking and eloquence. Enriched by the enthusiastic participation of students, the programme became a meaningful platform to showcase the beauty of Kannada, the richness of its literature, and the hidden talents of young minds.
Crossword Competition: Challenges vocabulary, logical thinking, memory, and problem-solving through clues and word discovery.
Essay Competition: Encourages students to express thoughts, ideas, and imagination in Kannada while demonstrating writing skills and appreciation for literature.
Extempore Speech Competition: Develops spontaneous thinking, confidence, communication skills, and the ability to organize ideas clearly.

Kavyamanjari – Weaving Emotions into Words
Kavyamanjari is a poetry-writing competition organized by Isiri Kannada Samiti to encourage students to showcase their poetic talent, creativity, and imagination. Participants are required to compose original poems based on a specific topic provided by the organizing club. The event offers a platform for students to express their ideas creatively and demonstrate their literary skills. The poems are evaluated based on creativity, originality, and expression. Winners will receive exciting cash prizes during the Divyankura event.
